Teaching Interests

1) to facilitate and enhance the courses: Biostatistics, Ethics and Law, Pharmacoeconomics, Public Health for Pharmacist, and Pharmacy Management with the current body of knowledge; 2) to engage the students in effective active learning exercises that help them learn, accentuate and apply the didactic material; and 3) to align the courses in my discipline with pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical sciences through collaboration with clinical and science faculty.

Scholarly Interests

My research interest is to excel in the areas of public health, comparative effectiveness & outcomes research, and educational research. I have served as a principal investigator for, awarded and funded, public health grants e.g. Underage Drinking/Binge Drinking, Opioid Misuse Prevention Program, Health Enterprise Competent Care Connections Program, and 1422 Chronic Diseases Prevention and Control Grant. I have authored and co-authored several manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals e.g. Epidemiology and Infection, Research in Social & Administrative Pharmacy, American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, and Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning. I have served as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. I am strong advocate of positive student outcomes and take pride of my research team which comprises of students and faculty body which is evident from the published articles.

I have served as a member of professional organizations, including the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics & Outcomes Research and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Also, serve as an honorary faculty member of the Gamma Omicron chapter of the Phi Delta Chi pharmacy fraternity. While at University of Maryland Eastern Shore, I have learnt enormously over the period of my journey from the rank of an Assistant professor to the rank Associate professor with tenure. I look forward to enhance my skills, and aim to be an exceptional academician during my journey with Larkin University College of Pharmacy.
