Teaching Interests

My passion is implementation of pharmacist services in ambulatory care, especially in the areas of diabetes, cardiology, and transitions-of-care. Therefore, I teach in a variety of therapeutics courses, focusing on chronic disease state management (endocrinology, cardiology, etc.).  I strive to help students make connections between the classroom and the “real world”.

Scholarly Interests

My area of interest includes prevention and treatment of chronic disease states.  I am also interested in evaluating the role of the pharmacist in the outpatient setting and in transitions-of-care.   My goal is to create positions in ambulatory care for our students to fill upon completion of ambulatory care training.
