Teaching Interests

My teaching focuses on the areas of social and administrative sciences incorporating communication skills, counseling skills and leadership development.  With a background in student development and academic support services, I also teach in the areas of career development, study skills, time management and stress management. My teaching philosophy is centered in engagement and active learning principles.  With a dual role in administration and the classroom, I welcome the opportunity to work with learners in multiple capacities to support their academic success.

Scholarly Interests

Student retention and persistence, leadership development, stress management, academic affairs collaboration with student affairs, higher education program development and mental health in higher education.
